Franklin Gentry, CHTP
Franklin is the Vice President of Technology
at Centrada Solutions, LLC. He is a Certified Hospitality
Technology Professional (CHTP)
with over 10 years of hospitality and hospitality technology
After majoring in Computer Science at
Florida State University, Franklin began his hospitality
career at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando. His
early responsibilities at the hotel included all aspects
of Front Office supervision including responsibility
for the evening shift of the 1,000+ room hotel.
In 1999 Franklin was promoted into the
hotel's Information Systems department and later was
named System Administrator for the hotel's Delphi Sales
and Catering System. His responsibilities in these areas
included support of the PMS software and hardware, maintenance
of all technology systems at the hotel, and oversight
of the Delphi system. During this time he created the
hotel's first intranet site that maintained Departmental
Information, Online Paging, and Direct Feeds from the
Sales and Catering System via MS SQL.
In 2001 Franklin was promoted to Wyndham's
Corporate office in Dallas, TX. His initial responsibility
was the installation of 32 hotels on a Centralized version
of the Micros-Fidelio Opera PMS. Ultimately, as the
Director of Distribution Systems, he was responsible
for the configuration, installation, and maintenance
of the database and application levels of all of Wyndham
International's Distribution Systems.
Franklin left Wyndham in February 2005
to join Centrada to make Technology "simple".
